School Uniforms
I was talking to a coworker today and he told me that his son was late for school this morning because he didn't meet the dress code and was stopped at the door. The previous year the kids could make do with polo shirts, so long as they met the color scheme and were in good shape, but this year it's the uniform or big trouble.
Buying uniforms can be an expensive proposition. You might be able to wrangle some secondhand uniforms for not as much money but your child may also balk at having to wear "old clothes." Some schools have exchanges where you can trade gently used uniforms. If yours doesn’t maybe you can talk to the PTA and set one up.
You may also qualify for a scholarship as some schools have fund set aside for children for whom the price of uniforms is out of the question. Talk to the guidance office and they'll direct you to the proper person.
